SUCCESS OF GENERAL AVIATION SERVICES AT MILAN BERGAMO AIRPORT

Milan Bergamo Airport is strengthening its operational activities related to general aviation, whose movements generated during the Olympic and Paralympic Games have contributed to increasing preference for the services offered by BGY Executive.

Demand for general aviation traffic continues to grow, also thanks to the airport’s strategic central location, which represents an ideal solution for road mobility along major highways and transport routes.

The new area dedicated to general aviation, located in the northern part of the airport grounds, features its own customs gate equipped with dedicated security and document control. It benefits from separate road access and flight infrastructure, as well as a dedicated apron on the airside capable of accommodating widebody aircraft, complete with an adjoining taxiway. FBO SKY Services and Italy FBO/Delta Aerotaxi provide passengers with fully equipped lounges designed to ensure maximum comfort and a full range of facilities. General aviation services, available 24/7, are part of Milan Bergamo Airport’s commercial strategy to diversify air traffic types.

Recent Winter Games have helped bring attention to the services that Milan Bergamo Airport offers for general aviation,” said Giacomo Cattaneo, Aviation Commercial Director at SACBO. “BGY Executive represents a model that is gaining recognition in terms of both quality and efficiency. Its added value lies in the ability to accommodate widebody aircraft, thanks to the recent expansion of the northern apron, and to meet all service requirements related to general aviation flights. The ongoing growth in demand confirms the level of appreciation for the solutions implemented, which ensure ease of access, smooth transit procedures, and efficient operations.”
