How to get around in our airport

It is strongly recommended to make use of the PRM (Passengers with Reduced Mobility) assistance service at our airport, in order to be supported/accompanied by qualified staff along all routes up to boarding. The service is designed and organized to facilitate and speed up every operation, making the experience more comfortable and safe.

In the case of wheelchair use, boarding and disembarkation are carried out with assistance and using a dedicated special vehicle (ambulift).

It is important to book the assistance in advance (according to the procedures specified in the dedicated section).

Once at the airport, operational staff will accompany departing PRM passengers through all the relevant airport areas.

Arriving PRM passengers are assisted starting from disembarkation.

For those who wish to move independently within the terminal, without assistance, please pay the utmost attention to the following points:

  • Check in advance which gate has been assigned to your flight (please note that some gates are not equipped with elevators).
  • If you are using your own wheelchair or other mobility aid, especially battery-powered devices, please go to the check-in counters for inspection and tagging of your equipment.
  • Pay close attention to gate closing times.

RESERVED PARKING

The parking areas reserved for persons with reduced mobility or disabilities are P1H and P2H.
For more details and conditions, please consult the dedicated section on our website.

PRM assistance is guaranteed from/to parking areas P1H and P2H.
The service is not available at other airport or external parking areas.

Requesting assistance in the parking areas:

  • At P1H, assistance can be requested from the parking payment machine;
  • At P2H, there is a dedicated call totem/call point;
  • Those using P1 (short stay) can use the call totem/call point near door 5 of the terminal or contact the info desk (accessible via doors 3 and 4).
