RYANAIR AND SACBO TOGETHER FOR THE FUTURE OF YOUNG PEOPLE: INTERCULTURA TRAINING EXPERIENCE CONCLUDED IN DUBLIN
The four-week training experience in Ireland for the six winners of the scholarships promoted by Intercultura, in collaboration with SACBO and its subsidiary BIS (BGY International Services), concluded on Friday, August 15, at Ryanair’s headquarters in Dublin. Agata Fabbi, Martina Lupi, Riccardo Romagnoli, Jacqueline Nicole Barollo, Arianna Smaila, and Giorgia Opreni had the opportunity to stay in Dublin from July 19 through Ferragosto, enhancing their language skills and immersing themselves in Irish culture, experiencing a path of study and personal growth in an international context.
The initiative, strongly supported by the company, represents a concrete investment in the professional future of young people, fostering the development of key skills in an increasingly global and competitive job market. In this spirit, the conclusion of the Irish experience was marked by a visit to Ryanair’s headquarters in Dublin, beginning with a welcome reception with juice & pastries, followed by presentations from representatives of various Ryanair departments.
The highlight was access to the flight simulator at the headquarters, which the participants had the chance to try. The visit ended with the traditional commemorative photo, a testament to an experience that will remain unforgettable for the students.
This opportunity was made possible by the increasingly strong partnership between Ryanair and SACBO, who share a commitment to promoting excellent training opportunities for young talents, convinced that the new generations represent the driving force of skills, innovation, and vision essential to building the future.

DRAMATIC EVENT AT MILAN BERGAMO AIRPORT
“Today’s dramatic event has shocked the entire airport community. First of all, I would like to express my personal condolences and those of the company to the victim’s family, to whom we are close in this terrible moment,” declared SACBO President Giovanni Sanga. “From the very beginning, in addition to ensuring the immediate management of the emergency and assistance to passengers and crew, we turned our attention to the colleagues who witnessed the episode and were deeply affected by it.” At 10:35 am today, July 8, at Milan Bergamo airport, a person, neither a passenger nor an employee of companies operating at the airport, despite the prompt counteraction of the police forces present, managed to enter the aircraft apron, then reaching the taxiway. Here he approached the aircraft of a scheduled flight, stationary and with its engines running, losing his life. The exact dynamics of the incident are being examined by the judicial authorities to whom SACBO continues to provide all the necessary collaboration. The company, in coordination with the relevant bodies, immediately activated emergency procedures and assistance to the flight passengers, crew and ground personnel involved, also making psychological support services available.
